Saturday, January 4, 2014 Station 27 was alerted to a dwelling fire in the 200 block of East Minor Street. County dispatch said they had multiple calls plus reports of people jumping. Units found heavy fire conditions that spread to six other houses via a common attic space with no fire walls. A teenage boy was transported via helicopter to a city hospital for injuries sustained from jumping from his burning house. Squad 47(Lt. DiSanto) responded with 6 personnel and assisted in fire suppression and overhaul. Lt. 47-1 acted as “man-power” supervisor. Chief 47 (J. Gallagher) also made the response to assist with incident command.
